IT630 - Operational Analysis Management Framework, Part 2: Operational Analysis Tools

Description:

This training session is the second part of a two-part series* on conducting Operational Analysis of NIH IT Systems that are in steady state or mixed-lifecycle. This course will introduce each of the seven Operational Analysis tools (checklists and templates) that have been developed to facilitate and standardize the Operational Analysis process at the NIH. It will then provide detailed, hands-on "how-to use" instruction for each of the seven tools. Prerequisite for this course is NIH Operational Analysis Management Framework, Part 1

Objectives:

After training it is desired that attendees will
  • Know which tools support which steps of the Operational Analysis (OA) process;
  • Understand how to use each OA tool;
  • Know how to tailor each tool to meet an IT System's unique requirements . . . and what not to tailor.

Who should attend:

This training will be geared towards centrally funded Enterprise IT Systems and their Project Team members with performance monitoring and reporting responsibilities and Operations Managers/System Administrators. However, registration is open to all NIH employees.

This training is the second part of a two-part series. Attendees should also enroll in Part 1: CIT Training Course IT620, Operational Analysis Management Framework, Part 1: Operational Analysis Overview, Process and Metrics..
