DW220 - NIH Data Warehouse Query: Human Resources

Description:

The Human Resources training course will teach students how to access information on the cost of personnel resources for both Civilian Employees and Commissioned Corps Officers, such as FTE Usage, salary and the government's contribution to personnel benefits; the demographic makeup of their workforce; as well as personnel actions, such as accessions, promotions, retirements and separations. Students will be able to generate reports listing detailed demographic information about NIH employees, such as occupation series, job title, organization code, salary, and education level, as well as head counts of employees in their organization by series or grade. The Human Resources activities provide integrated information from the Human Resources Database (HRDB), Fellowship Payment, and the Fogarty Information System. Using a training environment, users will be shown how to run, export and modify standard DW Query Reports. They will also be shown the ad hoc functionality that allows you to create your own reports from scratch.

Student guides are available online for all of the Data Warehouse classes.
