NT110 - Home Networking Fundamentals

Description:

Learning the basics of setting up a network at home and connecting to the internet is the main goal of this class. We will discuss the many different options available to maintain a stable and secure home network and connection to the internet.

Objectives:

In this class the participants will learn the basics of setting up a home network system. Dial-up, DSL, and Cable internet connection scenarios will be discussed. Basic configuration methods and solutions will be demonstrated. After taking this course you should have enough knowledge to set up and maintain a stable and secure home network.

This class is geared toward the network novice. Any NIH staff member that is new to working from home and connecting to the NIH network could benefit from this class.
