IT300 - ITIL V3 Foundations - Overview

Description:

ITIL is an internationally recognized approach for managing IT services. Now considered the de facto standard for managing a business focused, cost effective IT organization, the ITIL framework is a service lifecycle approach. This end-to-end view of how IT should be integrated with business strategy is a core principle of the approach. Applying the ITIL framework to IT service design and operations at CIT is the goal.

This executive overview course provides you with a general understanding of the IT Service Management Lifecycle and its supporting processes, functions and roles. The course also enables you to understand how an integrated IT Service Management framework can be adopted and adapted within your own organization. The course focus is upon ITIL fundamentals appropriate to a NIH-wide audience.
