GR610 - Understanding and Using the "Cart" Feature of QVR and an Update on New Features

Description:

The QVR system now provides a shopping cart feature similar to what you might find available in an online shopping website. At the basic level this feature allows you to save lists of application/grants as well as a list of Person in shopping carts for future use. At the advanced level the shopping carts can be used in combinations to hone in on specific groups of persons or applications. The class is designed to demonstrate both the basic and advance features of shopping cart.

This class will be presented in two parts:

  • The first part will highlight the new features recently incorporated in QVR. It will go on to a detailed presentation of the shopping cart feature of QVR. This will include examples of both the basic and advanced features. For example, it can be used to analyze the success of awardees under a specific RFA to receive a subsequent grant award.
  • The second part of the class will be a presentation of a series of typical searches using the CART feature. Handout material will be available to class participants for use as a "desktop reference guide" for using this powerful feature.

Class participants are encouraged to logon to the QVR System at the URL below and explore the QVR Homepage which contains useful information about the system. URL for the QVR System: http://qvr.era.nih.gov. ESA credit is recommended for this class.
